Eminent Moon Custom

 This design is inspired by the Moon tarot card and GVF's song "Broken Bells." Read the Deeper Look section to understand this design better!

I wanted to ensure the visual of the whole design being a tarot card; so I have two different card borders to push that point. One border consists of tiny stars and the other is a bold stitch. The moon in the design has chainstitching around it to bring attention to it as an important element, and I made the moon the bottom bow in the Broken bells symbol. 

The cloaked figure is seen often in GVF merch but has not yet been revealed into the storyline publicly as of November 2022. While the figure is still largely unknown, I have always loved studying GVF "lore" (I guess you could call it maybe?); so, I have always had a theory about this figure based on what literature I know that Josh reads and is directly inspired by. That being said, I am almost certain that this figure is based on the Grey Eminence by Huxley that addressed some deep issues and was juxtaposed to an example of a French monk named Tremblay. The overall sentiment in short is: here's what can happen when a person's powerful spiritual energies are channeled in the wrong direction. I believe that GVF uses the "grey eminence" figure as a symbol to relay the above point as well. GVF has always made a point of the "figure" never holding a sword to my knowledge, but he may pick it up in the next album... or they could go a different way with the storyline. Either way, I made a point to not put the sword into his hands since GVF hasn't done so.

I believe "the garden" is our minds and the battle is within for spiritual direction. Because of this detail, I have the "figure's" face and the stars filled in with a material of  sparkling black to represent individual depth and endless wonder.

You'll see at the bottom of the design that I embroidered "The Moon" after the tarot card, and I made the oo into moons. Then made the moons into a Pisces sign as this sign correlates directly to the Moon tarot card.

I added the white roses into the corners to balance the look and placed Jake's sword into the other corners for balance. The swords have a minimal silver metallic stitch to outline them. You'll also notice a white rose coming from the moon.
